Brett Favre wants NFL issues to raise ‘serious’ awareness
Brett Favre is widely regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever lace ’em up. He won three NFL Most Valuable Player awards at the height of his powers with the Green Bay Packers in the mid to late 90’s, but he’s remembered just as much for his iron man toughness and his gunslinger-like mentality with the ball in his hands as he is for his individual accolades.

Since retiring from football, Favre’s been, for the most part, out of the public eye, preferring the peace and quiet of Mississippi to the spotlight that comes with being a star player in the NFL. Yet he did step out recently to share some of his thoughts on the recent troubles the NFL has been having with domestic violence.
The AP has reported that Favre believes the domestic violence issues aren’t as prevalent as they seem, and that their occurrence is “few and far between” other happenings around the league. Favre went on to say that he hopes that the issues raise “serious” awareness.
Favre has always been a straight shooter and a man of simple honesty when it comes to his feelings, and this is just further proof that he says what he means and that he means what he says.
