Although Cam Newton’s former teammate Steve Smith spent the morning questioning his football intelligence, it still seems as if everybody still loves the Carolina Panthers quarterback.

More from Carolina Panthers

That includes a young child who will have a life long memory after Newton decided to give him not only the football he just scored a touchdown with but also a fist bump.

Just about halfway through the second quarter, Cam Newton was able to find the end zone and promptly rushed towards the railing where a young boy was clamoring for the football. While many would have likely ignored the boy or simply celebrated on their own, the Carolina Panthers signal caller saw him immediately and rushed towards him.

As Newton’s Carolina Panthers teammates attempted to mob him, the Pro Bowl quarterback handed over the ball and extended his arm to the smiling child.

You’ll notice, it pays to wear the correct jersey as directly across from the kid are two other children seeking to grab Cam Newton’s attention though they just so happened to be wearing Baltimore Ravens gear. Oops.

It may seem like such a small gesture in the grand scheme of things but Cam Newton just gave that kid a memory for life.
