After spending much of his offseason with USA Basketball, James Harden has learned a few new tricks that he hopes to implement with the Houston Rockets this season.

Teammate Dwight Howard isn’t only excited to see what additions Harden has made to his game but also believes the former Arizona State star will have one of the best seasons of his career.

Speaking at Media Day, Howard suggested that Harden was disappointed in his play last year and is set to make amends.

With Jeremy Lin and Chandler Parsons gone there will be no shortage for shots so it seems safe to assume that James Harden will have his best season numbers wise. Of course, with less weapons and more shots it’s likely James Harden won’t be as efficient though he’s still going to be among the best in the game, at least on the offensive side of the ball.

As for his defense, it’s been said that the Houston Rockets are hoping to see improvement from James Harden. Will we see such? At this point its difficult to tell though Harden wasn’t exactly inspiring defensively during Team USA play.

Earlier in the day Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey stated he would never trade Howard nor Harden, so no need to work on that defense, James.
