4. Dec. 8, 2008: San Diego Chargers 34 Oakland Raiders 7

As a connoisseur of bad football, this is one of the many JaMarcus Russell suck fests in his career.

The Chargers, led by a young Phillip Rivers, Ladainian Tomlinson, Darren Sproles, and Vincent Jackson demolished the Raiders. After the Chargers took a 24-0 lead early in the second quarter, this game was all but over. The Raiders’ abysmal offense had literally no chance of scoring that many points against no defense, let alone living, breathing humans.

Again, this is a classic example of the winning not playing that great because they’re playing on three days rest, but the opponent being even worse than anyone could possibly imagine. The Raiders turned the ball over four times, gained a total of 163 yards, and only nine first downs in the entire game. Even so, the Chargers only scored 34 points total.

Obviously it was an impressive win by the Chargers, but this game wouldn’t have made the list had it not been special for one reason: it was the first 3-D NFL game and was shown in theaters around America.

Seriously.

I’m not even joking.

People actually paid to watch an overweight JaMarcus Russell suck it up in 3-D. That event happened.

If there’s a person who can prove they watched this game in 3-D, please contact me. I have so many questions.
