Have you ever said something bad about John Wall’s game? If so, your comment might be saved on the phone of the Washington Wizards guard.

Wall, who has yet to fulfill his immense talent though has emerged as an All-Star level guard has apparently tired of criticism directed at him. In turn, he’s decided to use the constant bashing as motivation as he keeps an updated list of articles, quotes, tweets and any other forms of media on his phone.

According to the Washington Post, John Wall says he reads them for motivation.

"John Wall keeps a list on his phone of the slights and criticism he hears, reads and perceives. He updates it whenever he comes across a new form of disrespect and reads it for motivation before he steps on the floor for every practice and game."

Wall has long desired to be ranked among the NBA’s backcourt elite like Derrick Rose, Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade though appears frustrated he’s not mentioned in the same breath.

“I’m one of the most complete point guards in the league,” Wall, 24, said Tuesday after the Washington Wizards practice. “I rebound, I assist, play defense, steal, score. I don’t get why I’m overlooked. I’m still trying to figure it out.”

Part of that is likely attributed to Wall’s lack of success shooting the ball, the fact he doesn’t play on a major market team and because he hasn’t achieved much success in the postseason. Once his shot improves and John Wall leads the Washington Wizards to victory in the postseason, he’ll be thought of among the NBA’s elite.
