25. Sherman Badie – Tulane:

The freshman running back has been one of the only bright spots on an abysmal Tulane squad. The Green Wave are 1-4, but would be worse than that without Badie. In week one he came out and made a statement, as a freshman, running for 215 yards in a double-overtime loss to Tulsa. He has two runs of over 85 yards on the season.

Best Game: Against Tulsa (215 Rushing Yards, 1 TD, 14.3 AVG)

24. Shaun Wilson – Duke:

Wilson is a freshman that has had limited carries this season, but when he has been given the ball he has done some amazing things. He’s splitting carries with Shaquille Powell, but still has amassed 435 yards on the ground. In Duke’s blowout over Kansas Wilson showed the full extent of his talent (see stats below).

Best Game: Against Kansas (245 Rushing Yards, 3 TDs, 20.4 AVG)

23. Travis Greene – Bowling Green:

The junior back has been very consistent this season, sans the Falcons’ matchup with Wisconsin in which nothing quite worked. He isn’t a home run threat to break a big run, but he knows how to gain positive yardage with the best of them. He’s posted three 100-yard games in five games and put up 91 yards in another.

Best Game: Against Virginia Military Institute (129 Rushing Yards, 2 TDs, 7.2 AVG)

22. Kenneth Dixon – Louisiana Tech:

Dixon is a junior and a leader for the Bulldogs. His yards per carry have been a bit inconsistent, but he’s a touchdown machine. He’s scored in every game this year and three times scored multiple touchdowns. Dixon is a threat through the air, too. He’s caught two receiving touchdowns on the year.

Best Game: Against Louisiana-Lafayette (184 Rushing Yards, 2 TDs, 15.3 AVG)

21. Anthone Taylor – Buffalo:

The junior has been the Bulls’ workhorse this year and he’s responded with a few good outings. He’s put together three 100-yard performances and is coming off of his best game of the season versus Miami (OH). He gets better the more the ball is in his hands, expect his workload not to diminish all year.

Best Game: Against Miami (OH) (222 Rushing Yards, 3 TDs, 6.2 AVG)
