Novak Djokovic is expecting his first child in November
The arrival of tennis sensation Novak Djokovic’s first child is approaching in the coming weeks, with the Serb saying that he expects to be a father in only a few weeks time. He follows fellow great roger Federer into the realms of fatherhood and it will be hoping that his child has a similarly inspirational effect of his tennis career as it did for Federer.

Novak Djokovic announced the news back in April that he and Wife-to-be Jelena Ristic were expecting. It was news that his thousands of fans around the world greeted with excitement and Djokovic himself has clearly stated that it is his priority over tennis.
Djokovic is currently playing at the Shanghai Masters 1000 event in China, looking to secure his position as the year end number one. However, it is possible that he will withdraw from either the Paris Masters 1000 or even the prestigious World Tour Finals in London, so has not to miss the birth of his first child.
It is incredibly exciting times for the Serb, as he looks to be nearing the form his showed in 2011 that broke all sorts of records and his 6-0 6-2 annihilation of Thomas Berdych in the Beijing 500 final last week showed that mentally he was suffering no distractions due to the imminent arrival of a little Djokovic.
He faces Austrian youngster Dominic Thiem in the second round of the Shanghai Masters on Wednesday, having received a bye in the first round thanks to be number one seed. He will need to guard against complaceny, but Djokovic is one of the best at that. A meeting in the quarter finals with friend and on court rival Andy Murray will likely be the first test for Novak as he looks to end the year with fireworks on and off the court.
