5. Russell Wilson flops against Dallas

For months since his triumph in Super Bowl XLVIII, America has made Russell Wilson into a media darling. On Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys he turned in one of the worst performances of his short career. Wilson was nothing short of terrible in Week 6, completing 14-of-28 passes for 126 yards, with no touchdowns and an interception. His QBR was a woeful 22.5 and his quarterback rating was just 47.6.

Against an average-at-best Dallas defense, Wilson couldn’t get anything going. His throws were off-target all game, he made bad decisions with the football and only added 12 yards rushing. The Seahawks had a chance to reestablish themselves as the best team in football against the Cowboys and they flopped harder than “The Lone Ranger.” Dallas won 23-20 and probably should have taken it by a lot more.

Wilson has been pretty good this season, but teams are learning how to attack him and he’ll have to adjust and be much better than he was on Sunday. How he performs on Sunday in St. Louis will be telling.
