NFL Trade Rumors: Bengals shopping TE Jermaine Gresham?
Are the Bengals looking to move Jermaine Gresham?
With the trade deadline approaching, Ian Rapoport, media insider for NFL Network, reports the Cincinnati Bengals could place veteran tight end Jermaine Gresham on the trade block.
"“They already have Tyler Eifert coming off an injury,” Rapoport said. “It seems they’ve already replaced (Gresham), he could be had too.”When Eifert returns, the Bengals might not have much use for the veteran tight end, Gresham. If they plan to let him walk this season, it’s worth getting something in return for him. We hear the Seahawks are looking for a tight end."
Entering the season, Gresham was second on the depth chart behind Tyler Eifert, but an injury suffered early in the season forced Gresham into a starting role. Through five games, Gresham has caught 14 passes for 129 yards and 0 touchdowns.

But with Eifert returning, Gresham becomes expendable to the Bengals organization and this could lead to the team to flipping the tight end near or at the deadline.
Through the season, the Bengals have struggled through the air, a by-product of missing Eifert and All-Pro receiver A.J. Green for an extended amount of time. Per ESPN’s database, the Bengals are currently ranked 18th in the league in passing yards, 23rd in passing touchdowns.
Ian Rapoport also mentioned Vincent Jackson and C.J. Spiller as players who are currently being shopped.
The NFL trade deadline is on October 28th.
