26. Steven Jackson, Atlanta Falcons

When the veteran running back arrived in Atlanta in 2013, Jackson was coming off eight consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons. Since joining the Falcons, due to injuries and numerous other factors, the former Pro Bowler has run for 828 yards in 19 appearances. Mike Smith’s club ranks just 23rd in the NFL in rushing this season one year after finishing dead last in the same category.

25. Trent Richardson, Indianapolis Colts

The much-maligned running back leads the team with 358 yards rushing on 101 carries and has scored a pair of touchdowns. He’s also caught a very-respectable 19 passes in 2014. But the Colts’ offense just looks better with Ahmad Bradshaw in the lineup as the former Giants’ standout leads the club with seven touchdowns, six on receptions.

24. Anthony Dixon, Buffalo Bills

Doug Marrone’s team lost its top two runners (C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson) for the next few weeks or longer in Sunday’s win over the Minnesota Vikings. Dixon ranks third on the club with 137 yards rushing on just 27 attempts but totaled a season-high 13 carries (51 yards) this past weekend. Of course, we may finally see Bryce Brown—inactive the first seven weeks of the season—make his Bills’ debut on Sunday.

23. Jerick McKinnon, Minnesota Vikings

The fourth-round pick from Georgia Southern this past May has started the last two weeks and suddenly leads the team in rushing with 309 yards. McKinnon has totaled 100-plus yards on the ground in two of his last four games and also ranks fourth on the club with 16 catches.
