Who will win the 2014 World Series?

From FanSided’s San Francisco Blog – Golden Gate Sports:

"Dynasty vs. Destiny. Which one will prevail? The San Francisco Giants have been here before, and they look to win their third World Series title in five years. The 2014 Giants’ foe in the World Series will be a team that is playing a lot like the 2010 Giants. The Kansas City Royals haven’t lost a game in the postseason yet, but that’s about to change. Both the Giants and the Royals have defied the odds and continue to amaze the baseball world. Both teams are very evenly-matched and play with similar styles, so this will certainly be close series. Keys to victory for the Giants: -Containing the Royals’ run game: The Giants failed to do this in their regular season three-game series against the Royals, and it led to them getting swept. The Royals continue to show off their speed in the postseason too, so the Giants will have to contain the Royals’ baserunners. -Bullpen: Since the Giants and the Royals are so evenly-matched, it’s likely that the games will be low-scoring and come down to which bullpen can preserve the lead or keep their respective team in the game with shutdown innings. Both teams have excellent bullpens, but the Giants’ relievers have been on the big stage before. Bruce Bochy will certainly find ways to utilize his relief pitchers in the most efficient and effective ways, including putting the struggling Hunter Strickland and Jean Machi in the best situations possible. -The Giants must use their experience to their advantage: This is where the dynasty will prevail over the destiny. The Royals have been near unstoppable this postseason, and teams should always be afraid of a team with the utmost confidence in themselves and that plays with nothing to lose. However, teams should also be afraid of a team with as much postseason experience and confidence that the Giants have. Ultimately, experience will prevail over momentum in this series. Prediction: San Francisco Giants win in 6."

From FanSided’s Royals Blog – Kings of Kauffman:

"The Kansas City Royals have already put together an impressive, and, perhaps unexpected, run through the postseason. The Royals gameplan, involving their speed, defense and pitching, has worked to perfection thus far. Hopefully, for the Royals, history can repeat itself. The Royals had swept the Giants earlier in the season, and have swept their way through the playoffs. While it may be unrealistic to expect another sweep, the Royals may well be able to win another series against the Giants. If so, then this will be a fitting final chapter in what has already been an amazing season."
