8.) Colin Kaepernick

This probably isn’t a popular pick, but Kaepernick is one of the best young quarterbacks in the game at only 26 years old.

It seems like most of the Kaepernick hate has come after his new contract due to people thinking he’s not worth the money, but that’s just how the NFL is these days. If you have a good quarterback, you’re going to have to pay a lot to keep him.

Although drafted in 2011, Kaepernick’s career really started in 2012 when he was thrown into action and led the San Francisco 49ers to the Super Bowl. He then took his team back to the NFC Championship Game the following season.

Kaepernick still has a lot of things to improve on, but he is a phenomenal play maker that has a very high ceiling.

7.) Demaryius Thomas

The first receiver and non-quarterback on my list is none other than Demaryius Thomas.

His talent is well respected, but I truly feel that he is the most underrated superstar in the league. Thomas’ first two seasons had their rough spots due to injuries and Tim Tebow, but Thomas has played all 32 regular season games the past two years and has put up monster numbers in that time. In two full seasons with Manning as his quarterback, Thomas has had a combined 186 catches for 2,864 yards and 24 touchdowns.

There are some people that aren’t too impressed from Thomas’ numbers since Manning has been throwing to him, but I think Thomas would be this good on any team in the league. Just consider how impressive it is for Thomas to put up these numbers with all the other great receivers on his team.

Thomas is still young (26) and will continue to dominate this league for many years to come.
