Keys to Victory

The Packers need to exploit New Orleans’ week secondary (28th in passing yards per game this season) to win this one. That shouldn’t be too difficult, considering Aaron Rodgers is having an MVP-like season with 18 passing touchdowns and just one interception. On the other side of the ball, slowing down quarterback Drew Brees and not giving up big plays on the ground — Green Bay has allowed the second most rushing yards per game this year — will be critical.

For the Saints, they’ll need Brees to go tit-for-tat with Rodgers. Brees hasn’t been as sharp this season as he’s been in years past, but he’s still an elite quarterback and a monster game is bound to come sooner or later. Defensively, the focus is obviously on Rodgers. New Orleans will have to do its best to pressure Rodgers in an effort to take him out of his rhythm.
