25. Danny Shelton, DL – Washington Huskies:

Shelton is an absolute mammoth in the middle of Washington’s defense. He stands at six foot two, 339 pounds and may even be heavier than that. He plugs the middle and requires a couple blockers to defend. He holds his gap well, but is an elite pass rusher for an interior lineman. Shelton has 7.5 sacks in 2014 and gets in on a surprising amount of tackles. Three times he’s recorded at least 12 tackles in a game this year. He will be starter at the next level very soon.

24. Jay Ajayi, RB – Boise State:

The Broncos’ junior running back runs with an amazing intensity. He has phenomenal balance and is tough to bring down. He often spins out of tackles and can find the end zone as good as any player in college football. As a sophomore he exploded onto the scene with 1,425 yards and 19 total touchdowns. He already has 985 yards and 14 total touchdowns this year. When he decides to go pro he’s going to make one team a lot more dangerous on the ground.

23. Jacoby Brissett, QB – North Carolina State:

Brissett’s production has severely declined since the beginning of conference play, but I attribute that as more of a dark spot on this team than on him. He’s a massive quarterback at six foot four and 231 pounds and he knows how to protect the ball (16 touchdowns, 3 interceptions in 2014). Brissett is more athletic than people realize and he could be the next in a long line of Wolfpack quarterbacks that have found success in the NFL.

22. Brett Hundley, QB – UCLA:

UCLA’s junior quarterback is going to make a splash in the NFL in the coming years. He’s got a strong arm and good size at six foot three, 227 pounds, but it’s his efficiency that should have scouts looking his way (9.10 yards per attempt). Hundley has good pocket presence and has the shifty ability to make things happen with his feet if a play breaks down, as well. This year he’s accounted for 17 touchdowns (13 passing, four rushing) and has only thrown four interceptions.

21. Darian Thompson, S – Boise State:

The junior safety simply has a nose for the football and he often finds it. In 2014 he’s already intercepted five passes and made a handful of tackles. He has good height for an NFL safety (six foot two) and will certainly beef himself up a bit before his first professional game. True ballhawks are incredibly valuable assets to professional teams and Thompson certainly is one.
