Top 3 Storylines

1. Domestic Violence

Situations involving high-profile players like Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson have cast an ugly shadow over the NFL and put a spotlight on the league and how it deals with domestic violence. At the halfway mark, some of the outrage has died down and it appears the NFL is invincible after all.

2. Dallas Cowboys

How about them Cowboys?

Even after an ugly Monday Night loss to Washington, Tony Romo and the Cowboys are in first-place in the division and should be a lock for the playoffs, barring any major injuries. After Romo’s back injury sidelined him against Washington for some of the second half, the Cowboys’ season relies on Romo’s health as well as the health of other key players, like DeMarco Murray, Dez Bryant, and the offensive line.

3. Peyton Manning

In Week 7 against the 49ers, Manning broke Brett Favre’s career touchdown record. With the best receiving corps in the league, Manning could easily throw another 30 touchdowns this season. While Manning might not be the league MVP through the midseason mark, Manning is the best advantage in the NFL.
