Detroit Lions (6-2)

Sitting atop the NFC North has to feel sweet for the Lions, who are coming off a poor 2013 in which they should have made the playoffs but collapsed in epic fashion instead.

The best thing about the bye? They get Calvin Johnson back after it, hopefully fully healthy.

They head into the bye with three straight wins and have a good post-bye matchup in Week 10 with the Miami Dolphins.

Then it gets tough again with Arizona and New England before settling down with the woeful Bears, sad-sack Buccaneers and inconsistent Vikings.

With the end of the season looking like that, the Lions should make the post-season.

That’s what we thought last year though and we all know how that turned out.
