Alabama – Drew Brees

Alabama is another state that doesn’t have an NFL franchise, and in the south they could go either way, the Atlanta Falcons or the New Orleans Saints.

It appears the Saints are the most popular though, and Drew Brees is the most popular NFL player in Alabama. This isn’t too surprising given Brees is the leader of the Saints team, a prolific passer and one of the best players in the league.

You might have expected the state to have supported a player who player at Alabama or Auburn in NFL jersey sales, like Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, but that isn’t the case. In fact, Newton doesn’t lead jersey sales in any state.
