5. Chris Johnson, New York Jets

Chris Johnson was signed this past offseason by the New York Jets after he was released by the Tennessee Titans, but he has been unable to have the type of impact that both sides were hoping when they agreed to the deal. In fact, the Jets have begun to decrease his role over the past couple of weeks, and it has been frustrating Johnson.

Over the past couple of years, Johnson simply hasn’t been able to put up the type of production that had come to be expected out of him. This year has been a confirmation of the disappointment that is the present version of Johnson. He has carried the football 67 times for just 268 yards and a touchdown on the season.

New York was hoping that they could get a dynamic season out of Johnson, but those expectations have long been given up on. He likely won’t be a member of the Jets next season, and this experiment has failed miserably.
