Winners: Matt Asiata, Minnesota Vikings

As Aaron Schatz remarked to me in the Press Box at Gillettee Stadium: that’s a Jerome Bettis kind of day.

Matt Asiata ran for just 26 yards, which isn’t good. Adding the three touchdowns was much better though, especially as one of them won the game (along with a two-point conversion Asiata ran in).

The Vikings were in need of a win and between Asiata and the second straight game without a turnover by rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, they got it.

Between rookie Jerrick McKinnon and Asiata, the Vikings have quite a one-two punch. They still miss what Adrian Peterson could do for them, but they have been effective on the ground and as the rest of the team starts to gel, things are looking up for the Vikings.
