Matthew Stafford – Detroit Lions

It’s the Detroit Lions, folks. It doesn’t matter who their quarterback is. Vintage Joe Montana could step into this franchise and not ever come away with a Super Bowl win.

Unfortunately for Matthew Stafford, he’s not going to fare any better.

Stafford has that cannon arm, coupled with a gunslinger mentality, and a never give up attitude. All great traits to have for a quarterback.

He’s helped bring the Lions to respectability in the league, but that will be as far as it ever gets. The Lions will continue to be mismanaged, and never really find the formula for surrounding their franchise quarterback with the talent needed to become champions.

As long as he has receivers like Calvin Johnson, Stafford will always put up impressive numbers and keep his team in the game…but a Super Bowl win? Not likely.
