The entire league is taking part in the battle against cancer during the month of November, happily nicknamed “Movember” as all the players grow spectacular mustaches for charity. The league has put a tremendous amount of time and effort into the cause, with teams raising tens of thousands of dollars during their respective HFC nights.

The New York Rangers are doing their parts as well, even if it may not be obvious to the naked eye from the top row of seats.

The team was seen sporting purple chin straps during the game against the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday night, as they played the Detroit Red Wings. Here’s a picture snapped during the game below:

In addition to raising money through mustache-growing, the league is selling HFC apparel for fans, and have even been auctioning off purple practice jerseys signed by players after certain games.
