5. New Orleans Saints

While the New Orleans Saints have still been one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL, they are also leading their division due to the other teams that have disappointed as well. Drew Brees hasn’t looked nearly the same as he has in years past, and there is real concern surrounding whether or not he will get back to playing at the superstar level that he has played at in the past.

New Orleans looked like they had figured things out and turned their season around after defeating the Green Bay Packers and then blowing out the Carolina Panthers, but they ended up losing to the San Francisco 49ers. There is enough talent on the Saints’ roster to win their division and make a run in the NFL playoffs, but they need to make their move right now. If that is going to happen, the Saints will need to figure out what the problems are and fix them immediately.

The Saints’ offense is one of the most talented in the NFL, but they haven’t been capable of living up to that potential. Their defense isn’t the best, but they have enough talent to at least contend with opposing offenses. If their leaders step up and play to their potential, the Saints will begin looking like the team that many expected to contend in the NFC.
