10. New England Patriots

Before last week, the New England Patriots had a hole in the running back slot, and they were getting the job done by committee.

“Were” is the key word in that last sentence.

As of Sunday, the Patriots have found their answer at running back, and his name is Jonas, Jonas Gray.

You know Bill Simmons and all those other crazy Pats fans have been listening to Weezer’s “My Name Is Jonas” on repeat since Sunday, right?

The Patriots probably don’t need Blount, but seeing as they’ve had him before and could easily use him as a special teams player as well as the backup bruising running back to counter Gray’s carries, I thought I’d have to include them in the Blount sweepstakes. I mean, Blount already has a grasp on the offense, and he was very successful for the Patriots last year.

I don’t see Blount signing with the Pats, but I wouldn’t put it past Belichick to make a move.
