Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland Raiders

Homer Alert: I try really hard not to let my Chiefs fan status effect my weekly picks (I picked Seattle last week!), but in this game I’m having a hard time seeing anything but a KC win. The Chiefs are currently one of the hottest teams in the NFL, winning seven of their last eight games. Meanwhile, the Raiders are still winless on the season. The Raiders are the lowest scoring team in the league and the Chiefs have allowed the second fewest points per game. I think Jamaal Charles has another good day and the Chiefs take care of business on the road.

Cleveland Browns at Atlanta Falcons

I literally had to skip over this game and come back to it after I had done all the others because I can’t make up my mind. On one hand, the Browns have one of the better pass defenses and could take Matt Ryan out of his rhythm. If Ryan does have a bad day I don’t see any way the Falcons win. On the other hand, picking the Browns to go into the dome in Atlanta and outscore the Falcons seems like a risky pick. When in doubt I usually go with the home team, but I’m thinking Josh Gordon’s return may just spark the Browns. This game’s a coin flip, but I’ll take the Browns in a close one.
