Pete Carroll Wants Marshawn Lynch Back With Seahawks In 2015
The future of Marshawn Lynch is very much in question as the Seattle Seahawks running back could have worn out his welcome in the Emerald City and could be on the way out at the end of the year

Marshawn Lynch may be nearing the end of his career with the Seahawks as the defending Super Bowl champs are reportedly planning to move on from their featured running back after this season, but that’s contrary to what head coach Pete Carroll said to USA TODAY.
“He’s under contract next year, we’d love to have him back,” Carroll told USA TODAY Sports on Thursday,. “There’s no hesitation in us saying that and there never has been.”
Part of the speculation in Seattle parting ways with Lynch is his enigmatic personality that has certainly rubbed some in the media the wrong way after he’s refused to speak with them. After all, he’s just ’bout that action boss and last week the team didn’t know where he was at halftime as he stayed on the field because he was too tired and held out of camp prior to the season amid a contract squabble.
However, Carroll thinks its far too premature to suggest “Beast Mode” is on the way out and wants to do everything they can do to keep him in a Seahawks uniform.
Lynch, 28, shows little signs of slowing down despite creeping toward the age of 30 where running backs have historically broken down at a rapid rate.
However, he’s coming off a combined 264 yards in his last two games and a four-touchdown performance two weeks ago. He has 813 yards and a league-high nine touchdowns this year while averaging 4.6 yards per carry, the second highest mark of his career.
If he were to hit the open market, Lynch would be among the most coveted players in free agency this offseason.
