Running Backs

Eddie Lacy-Green Bay Packers

Lacy ran for 125 yards on his 25 carries against the Vikings while catching two passes for 13 yards and a second touchdown.  Lacy now has seven double-digit fantasy games in his last eight games and at least 17 points in his last four.  He faces the Patriots in a tough matchup this week before facing Atlanta, Buffalo, and Tampa for most league’s fantasy playoffs.

C.J. Anderson-Denver Broncos

The latest running back to benefit from Peyton’s Broncos attack is C.J. Anderson who ran for 167 yards and a touchdown on his 27 carries while adding 28 more yards on four catches.  He’ll most likely get at least one more game as primary back before Ronnie Hillman or Montee Ball cut into his workload when they return from their injuries.

Latavius Murray-Oakland Raiders

Don’t forget about Murray’s impressive game on Thursday Night Football as he helped the Raiders get their first win of the season.  He only had four carries but went for 112 yards and a pair of touchdowns before having to leave with a concussion. He’s earned more playing time when he’s able to get back on the field, so grab him from the waiver wire if the rest of the owners in your league look past him.  He’ll definitely be in our top ten pickup which come out on Tuesday morning.

Matt Forte-Chicago Bears

The Bears came back and beat the Bucs behind a big game from Forte who ran for 89 yards on his 23 carries while scoring a pair of touchdowns.  He added five catches for 23 yards and helped save the Bears from another embarrassing defeat.

Isaiah Crowell-Cleveland Browns

For the second week in a row, Crowell led the Browns backfield committee although Terrance West continues to get carries as well. Crowell finished with 88 yards and a pair of touchdowns on his 12 carries and no catches. He is limited by his timeshare situation but continues to be a solid play as long as he keeps making plays with his share of the Cleveland workload.

LeSean McCoy-Philadelphia Eagles

McCoy finally rewarded his long-suffering owners with his first 100+ yard game with a touchdown on the season.  He had 21 carries while totaling 130 yards and a touchdown on the ground while adding one yard and one catch.

LeGarrette Blount-New England Patriots

Blount found a new start with his old team running for 78 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 12 carries in the Patriots big win over Detroit.  With Jonas Gray expected to be back in action going forward, it’s hard to predict how much of the workload will go go Blount going forward, but he rewarded anyone who took a flier on him this week.

Jamaal Charles-Kansas City Chiefs

Charles put up a solid night on Thursday even though the Chiefs lost to Oakland.  He ran for 80 yards on his 19 carries and added 42 yards on four catches while finding the end zone on one of his receptions.

Alfred Morris-Washington Redskins

Although the Washington passing game was a mess, Morris had a great game even against a tough 49ers defense.  He ran for 125 yards on his 21 carries and scored his fourth rushing touchdown in his last four games.
