Buffalo Bills wide receiver Robert Woods had a career night in a 38-3 win over the New York Jets, including a circus catch with the side of his helmet.
Robert Woods of the Buffalo Bills had career highs Monday night with nine receptions and 118 receiving yards, but no play was better than his second quarter catch as the Bills were driving toward a late first-half score.
Buffalo faced a third-and-2 when Woods got past New York Jets cornerback Darrin Walls and reeled in Kyle Orton’s pass downfield.
With the side of his helmet.
Adding insult to injury for Walls was the fact that he was flagged for pass interference on the play—which was declined.

The 27-yard gain moved the ball into New York territory as Buffalo converted a 13-play, 90-yard drive with a 19-yard touchdown pass from Orton to tight end Scott Chandler with 43 seconds left in the second period.
Woods had four of his nine receptions on the night on that drive, with three of them turning third downs into first downs.
He also had a 7-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter.
His previous career high of seven receptions came in a loss to the New England Patriots on Oct. 12 and his old career best of 82 receiving yards was in a win at Jacksonville last Dec. 15.
