Carolina Panthers (+3) over Minnesota Vikings

In a battle of putrid football teams, I’ll take the team coming off a bye week, especially when they are getting points. Carolina has lost five straight and the Panthers have “earned” those five defeats. However, Minnesota has not been much better, and while the hype around Teddy Bridgewater was rocking earlier in the season, the rookie has crashed back to earth.

The sharps are clearly on the side of Carolina, which Minnesota getting the public action, and by now, you know who I prefer to side with. It is (very) easy to forget that the Panthers were a very, very good football team just a year ago, and with Cam Newton getting a week off to heal and prepare for a “kitchen sink” game, I like them here.

Carolina is alive in the NFC South race, and they’ll remain so after Sunday’s outright win.
