2. Jerry Rice, San Francisco 49ers: 285 Points

When the question “Who is the greatest wide receiver of all-time” is asked most people respond with one name — Jerry Rice. He is incredibly deserving of consideration for the honor as he is one of the NFL’s all-time best players. Although he comes in at No. 2 on this objective list. He helped lead the San Francisco 49ers to three Super Bowl victories and routinely wowed opposing players, coaches and fans throughout his illustrious career, but that wasn’t quite enough to push him over the top to No. 1. Rice is the all-time leader in receiving touchdowns, yards and receptions but still he fell just short.

Six times Rice led the NFL in receiving touchdowns and receiving yards (both second-most all-time) and twice he led the league in receptions. He was named First Team All-Pro an amazing 10 times, which is the most ever at the wide receiver position. He was also invited to 13 Pro Bowls, also the most in the history of the position. Rice is incredibly worthy of the top spot and will never be forgotten, but he came up short to the No. 1 player on this list. Who is No. 1? How did he beat Rice you ask?
