It’s not very often that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will turn on the afterburners (more like fizzled out fireworks) and scramble out of the protection of his pocket. But every so often the California native will need to leave those comfy confines and scramble for a small gain.
That’s exactly what he had to do against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon, though the signal caller picked up a ton of yards in the process.
This wasn’t the typical three-yard run and slide for Tom Brady, no, this was a run where the quarterback could smell the end zone and he wanted a touchdown to cap off his impressive play.
He didn’t get it, instead he was clobbered by a member of the Miami Dolphins secondary. Perhaps thinking the hit was a bit too aggressive, especially since Brady seemingly gave himself up, the Patriots quarterback popped right up and got in the face of the Dolphins defender, clearly talking some trash in the trash in the process.
It’s pretty rare to see Tom Brady scramble, let alone for that amount of yards. It’s even more rare to see him get plastered so hard, but the rarest of them all was seeing Brady actually get up in a defenders face and give him a piece of his mind.
I have to say, I kind of like this Tom Brady.
