LOSER: Washington

That whole ‘trade everything for a franchise quarterback’ thing didn’t work out so well for Washington, huh?

It’s probably unwise to throw the Robert Griffin III out with the bathwater, but right now it doesn’t look good. Washington has missed the playoffs for the second straight year and while there are a ton of issues across the whole team—which happens when you trade draft picks—it’s clear that quarterback is a huge mess.

This is a team which looks rudderless, with little direction and no real progress. How much of this falls on Griffin or coach Jay Gruden? How much of it is owner Dan Snyder?

And can you improve the team and get back to relevance if the problem is the owner?

It is ugly for Washington and tough for the team’s fans. Worse, it looks like that will continue to be the case for some time to come.
