Lightning Strikes in Tampa as God Celebrates Packers Win
If there was any proof that God may in fact be a fan of the Green Bay Packers, what happened in the parking lot at Raymond James Stadium after Green Bay’s 20-3 win over the Buccaneers may be just the evidence we need.
Following the Packers big win that clinched them a playoff spot, lightning struck a car in the parking lot, injuring seven people, all Bucs fans or “Packer haters.”
“The boom came at the same time as the light did,” said Rudy Hynek, a safe Packers fan. “It was amazing nobody was killed.”
The Bucs secondary was killed on Sunday, as they allowed Aaron Rodgers to throw for 318 yards with a touchdown and allowed Eddie Lacy to run for 99. Tampa’s offense looked no better than anything relevant on Sunday on and off the field, trailing Green bay 236-0 in total yardage before doing anything worth talking about just before the half.
Meanwhile, back to the parking lot event: according to the report, the lightning appeared to hit the top of a car, “shattering” the roof of it.
The Packers are hoping to use the lightning to spark their big matchup against Detroit next Sunday to decide the winner of the NFC North and in two weeks when they begin their playoff run.
If there’s any time to hop on the Packers bandwagon, it would be now. Not only would Green Bay be a Super Bowl favorite if they can clinch home-field advantage, but, well let’s be honest, nobody likes getting struck by lightning.
