Jim Harbaugh may not be the San Francisco 49ers head coach much longer if the rumor mill is true, though he may have a second career in laser tag if he doesn’t want to continue coaching.
Over a week ago, a story broke suggesting the former NFL quarterback, known for his over-the-top competitive spirit, unleashed destruction upon a 10-year-old at Harbaugh’s bachelor party.
It wasn’t that difficult to believe knowing Harbaugh’s desire to win, but at the expense of a kid who still watches cartoons? Really Jim? Perhaps the story was fabricated some and the former University of Michigan signal caller didn’t really murk the kid like was thought.
Or maybe he actually did as the San Francisco 49ers coach admits there was some truth to the report.
Answering reporter questions, Harbaugh stated he indeed did have some fun at the expense of the pre-teen though corrected the reporter who suggested it was paintball and not laser tag.
“There’s some accuracy there,” Harbaugh said. “But it wasn’t paintball. It’s just another one of those half-truths. Just a half-truth. It was laser tag.”
It’s one thing for an adult to destroy a child in laser tag but it’s a completely different thing to do it in paintball considering you’ll leave any such matchup with a significant amount of blood bruised war wounds.
And as for beating the 10-year-old kid to win the laser tag contest? “That seemed part of the game”, stated Jim Harbaugh.
Never change, coach. Never change.
