The Kansas City Chiefs scored on an awkward fumble from Dwayne Bowe that was recovered in the end zone by tight end Travis Kelce.
Dwayne Bowe looked like he would finally score the first wide receiver touchdown of the season for the Kansas City Chiefs, but unfortunately that didn’t end up happening for him.

Bowe was trying to get into the end zone when the ball was popped free, and tight end Travis Kelce fell on it in the end zone for a touchdown. Obviously this was a disappointing change of events for Bowe, but it was a great result for the Chiefs as a whole. They are trying to get into the playoffs with a win and some help, but beating the San Diego Chargers isn’t an easy task.
Backup quarterback Chase Daniel unfortunately didn’t get a touchdown pass due to the fumble, but he’ll gladly settle for a win even without getting his personal numbers. Kansas City has a long ways to go, but this is certainly a good sign.
Take a look at the awkward play for yourself:
Obviously this is one of those plays that the Chargers will look back on and just shake their heads at, especially if it keeps them out of the playoffs. Kansas City, on the other hand, needed a few breaks after an up-and-down season, and this is exactly the type of thing that they needed to happen.
