Ryan Tannehill

The person that showed the best growth on the Miami Dolphins was their starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill. In his third season he didn’t show that he was an All-Pro performer at quarterback, but he did show to the organization and to the franchise that he’s on the path to becoming one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

Tannehill doesn’t need to turn into Andrew Luck, Matt Stafford or Aaron Rodgers. The fact that he’s become a consistent quarterback gives the Dolphins a chance to win any game that he competes in.

Tannehill’s growth was shown during the year such as when he had his first four touchdown game as he did against the Minnesota Vikings. Tannehill finished going 35-of-47 for 396 yards, which is nearly a 75 percent completion percentage, and also finished with an 82.1 QBR. Even though that was his best game statistically, his best performance of the season came against the San Diego Chargers where he went 23-for-34 (70 percent completion percentage), 288 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in a 37-0 win.

The second that Tom Brady is no longer playing with the New England Patriots, the Dolphins will have the best quarterback in the AFC East.
