The Miami Dolphins were a team who were looking for an identity and finally found it. Here are five reasons why they should have optimism moving forward.

For most Miami Dolphins fans their world is over because in the last game of the season the Dolphins lost 37-24 to their hated rival, the New York Jets. Even though fans are sad about the loss, the reason they shouldn’t be is because if the Dolphins would’ve won the game it still wouldn’t have gotten them into the playoffs. Obviously the Dolphins didn’t lose on purpose, but what’s the harm in losing a game and getting into a better standing to get a higher draft pick in the 2015 NFL Draft?

The Dolphins finished with an average 8-8 record and even though it comes with a lot of disappointment, all hope shouldn’t be lost. This year the Dolphins were a couple of big breaks from winning the AFC East, and a few injuries away from actually getting to the playoffs.

This may sound like a bit of a broken record to most South Florida fans but next year the Dolphins are going to become a lot better.

With that being said here are five reasons the Dolphins should have optimism.
