NFL: 5 Easiest Roads to the Super Bowl
By Ryan Ratty
5. Denver Broncos
Peyton Manning has struggled over the past six weeks, but I’m not buying into the fact that he is a different player. Manning is still one of the league’s best players and this offense is still one of the league’s best offenses. Over the past six weeks, running back C.J. Anderson has transitioned this team into a run-first offense. In this span, Anderson has carried the football 140 times for 648 yards and nine total touchdowns.
Considering the fact that the Broncos are undefeated at home in the confines of Sports Authority Field, it’s no surprise that they definitely have one of the easiest roads to the Super Bowl in the playoffs. Denver has their moments and there’s no question about that. However, with the emergence of their running backs, defenses are going to have to account for Anderson on top of planning and scheming for Manning. It’s a pick-your-poison with this Broncos offense and that’s not going to bode well for whoever plays them in the divisional round on the road.
