The Miami Dolphins will no longer have orange seats at SunLife Stadium once the renovations are complete.

You know those orange seats at SunLife Stadium? The ones that are so obviously empty during Miami Dolphins games? Well, they are about to be gone.

As the team renovates their stadium, they will be swapping out the orange seats for teal seats in an effort to disguise all of the empty seats during live game broadcasts.

It is fairly common practice for teams to go with seats closer to their team color. While the orange makes the stadium more vibrant, the teal jerseys are worn most often and a lot of the fan apparel is the teal from the team’s color palette.

With fans wearing teal and the stadium having teal seats, the Miami Dolphins stadium will — voila! — suddenly look full. Ensuring your stadium appears to be full when you are spending $350 million on a renovation seems to be the smart choice.

Goodbye, orange seats. You treated so many butts well during your time on Earth.
