Reason: Can James Harden keeping playing at an MVP level for the Rockets?

Want to hear a fun fact? Guess who has the most 40 point games in the league this season? The answer is the Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden with four. Furthermore, Harden also is only one of two players, with Damian Lillard, that averages at least eight assists per game in his 40 point explosions.

Stats like this are the reason why Harden is the runaway Most Valuable Player frontrunner. There are only a handful of teams that have a player as dynamic as Harden. The fifth year professional is having an awesome year averaging 27.1 points (which leads the NBA in scoring), 6.7 assists and 5.6 rebounds per game.

Harden has the Rockets playing at another level. On paper they might not look deadly only having a 29-13 record, good enough for the fourth best record in the Western Conference, but because of his games they can defeat any team in the league.

Harden’s ability to share the basketball has players such as Donatas Motiejūnas, Josh Smith, Patrick Beverly, and Kostas Papanikolaou playing with confidence and at a high level.

The Rockets are my pick to get to the NBA Finals, and as long as Harden keeps having an MVP like season they will get there.
