Perhaps the biggest issue with Lance Stephenson’s game is that he has become much more selfish than he was at the beginning of last season. During the first half of the year when the Indiana Pacers were one of the best teams in the league, Stephenson was a very unselfish player that made the entire team better when he was on the court.

Unfortunately, he wasn’t selected for the All-Star game and his attitude immediately changed. He stopped being the willing passer and focused more on scoring the basketball than he had throughout his entire career.

Stephenson has to figure out how to shed the attitude and get back to playing team basketball before he realizes his full potential again. There is no question that he can be a star, but he has to play his game the way that his game is made to be played.

Stephenson has the ability to get back to being the playmaker that made him so dangerous with the Pacers. Charlotte signed him to be that type of a player, and he needs to figure out how to make an impact moving forward without being selfish.
