Don’t turn the ball over

The first part goes without saying: if the Seahawks are going to win Super Bowl XLIX, the offense, mainly quarterback Russell Wilson cannot turn the ball over.  The Hawks may have gotten away with a four interception performance against Green Bay, however New England’s difference is a completely different monster.

During the 2014 regular season, New England recorded a plus-12 turnover differential, notching 16 interceptions and recovering nine fumbles, and they’ve found ways to capitalize on almost all of them.

Minus his performance in the NFC title game, Wilson has still been good about taking care of the football, for the most part.  While he lowered his interception total (7) for the second straight year, he fumbled the ball 13 times.

He threw a pair of interceptions against New England in their 2012 regular season game and got away with the win.  Don’t expect him to pull it off again if he has another day like the NFC title game, or Seattle’s 2012 Week 6 matchup.
