5 things Russell Wilson must do to win Super Bowl 49
If Russell Wilson is going to become the first quarterback to lead his team to back-to-back titles in over a decade, there’s some things he must do first.
When Russell Wilson took his first snap in Super Bowl XLVIII last year, he had a 2-0 lead thanks to a safety by Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos on a botched shotgun snap. It’s unlikely that he’ll have that handicap again on Super Bowl Sunday against New England.
The last time we saw Wilson in the bright lights of a Super Bowl, he played second fiddle to Seattle’s “Legion of Boom” defense. This time around, he has the chance to make his mark in NFL history and make his mark as the face of the NFL in Arizona in Super Bowl XLIX.
Super Bowl Sunday marks the second time in his career that he’ll play the Patriots. The first time came in his 2012 rookie season, where he led the Hawks back from a 14-point deficit in the second half of the fourth quarter.
With the spotlight on No. 3, who is 10-0 against Super Bowl winning quarterbacks (by the way), what can the elusive quarterback do to secure his second Super Bowl ring in as many seasons?
Next: PLEASE not another four-pick game!
