In the videos, Williams isn’t actually rapping, technically. He’s just speaking, but the editors at The Tonight Show sifted through hours of Williams news footage, grabbed clips of Williams saying lyrics of the song, and then edited them together to look and sound like he is rapping.
It’s awesome, to say the least.
Here is the video:
This is Williams’ fourth “rap” on The Tonight Show. In the other segments, Williams has rapped “Baby Got Back” by Sir Mix-A-Lot, “Rapper’s Delight” by The Sugar Hill Gang, and “Straight Outta Compton” by N.W.A.
I don’t know what it is, but there’s just something hilarious about Brian Williams, the anchor and managing editor of NBC Nightly News.
There’s a nice, little duel happening between Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Tonight Show with all the viral video segments. Once Stephen Colbert takes over The Late Show next fall, I’m guessing he’ll be producing some pretty hilarious viral content, as well.
I’m definitely going to need a bigger DVR.
