Bob Odenkirk reveals what he was doing when he found out he was the star of ‘Better Call Saul,’ the new ‘Breaking Bad’ spinoff series
Bob Odenkirk, star of the Breaking Bad spinoff series Better Call Saul, joined Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live to discuss the moment he found out he was the star of the new series…
It’s definitely not how you would think an actor would figure out he’s the star, but instead of explaining it, it’d probably be best if I just showed the clip.
Odenkirk plays Saul Goodman, the criminal lawyer, who works with Walter White in the AMC series Breaking Bad.

After Breaking Bad was so popular, AMC decided to squeeze as much out of the franchise as possible, which is a very smart move by the company, by spinning off the series with a prequel that focuses on the trials and tribulations of the lawyer Saul Goodman.
Initially, Odenkirk was hesitant to do the spinoff because he didn’t want to spend that much time away from his family, according to a report from The Independent. The show is set and shot in New Mexico.
Bettter Call Saul premieres Sunday, Feb. 8, at 8 p.m. on AMC. The second episode will air on Feb. 9, on AMC in the same time slot.
