Brandon Spikes to the Cleveland Browns

The Browns defense was the worst in the NFL in terms of running defense, and they desperately need a thumper at the middle of the defense.

Down the stretch in 2014, the Cleveland Browns failed to win games as they slid from being in contention in the competitive AFC North to collapsing to a 7-9 record, and a large part of that was the team’s inability to contain the run on first and second down.

Brandon Spikes is exactly what the Cleveland Browns need. Although he struggles in passing situations, he excels both as a run stuffer and as a pass rusher. Spikes has experience playing in the 3- 4 scheme that the Browns play, and he can give the team an added physicality that was missing in 2014.
