Sideline Out of Bounds

The best in NBA jokes, videos, highlights, memes, social media tomfoolery, and other shenanigans that we have found in the past week.

Paul Pierce shared this fitting portrait of himself sitting on the Iron Throne to his Facebook page after talking the talk early in the playoffs then dispatching the Raptors as easily as Joffrey did away with Ned’s head.

Assistant coaching gives a man a hunger, as we see here when Clippers assistant Mike Woodson takes a needed break from trying to calm down Doc River to inconspicuously grab some sideline snacks.

Tim Duncan is so good that he will give you pointers on how to beat him because he knows it won’t make any difference. Because Tim Duncan is better than you, you see.

The retribution dished out by Kendrick Perkins and J.R. Smith wasn’t the only rowdy play in the first round. Aaron Brooks and Jerryd Bayless mixed it up as well — though Bayless literally got the last shot when he hit a game-winning layup as Derrick Rose fell asleep.

LeBron James isn’t real. He is a collective hallucination we are all having while hooked up to machines that steal our energy like batteries, and I know this because the programmers are starting to introduce glitches.

Rick Carlisle caught a $25,000 fine for criticizing the refs after his Dallas Mavericks lost Game 3 to Houston. After a Game 4 win, some reporter asked him what he thought about the officials tonight. His response rivaled some of Dirk’s best moments at the podium.

Former #2 pick and current kickboxer(?) Darko Milicic isn’t missing out on the finer things in life just because his NBA life has come to a close. He was recently recorded celebrating(?), chugging beer and grooving to some splendid(?) tunes. I could probably write a 18-point power rankings of the things that occur in this video, and while I won’t — spoiler alert — the part when he makes the tattoos of political figures(?) on his torso drink with him would be numero uno.
