Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater takes fan to her high school prom
Besides being one of the best young players in the NFL, Teddy Bridgewater is also a pretty nice guy as he took a young fan to her high school prom.
As the final pick in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft, Teddy Bridgewater was expected to come to town and lead the Minnesota Vikings as the best young starter that they’ve had in a while. Bridgewater played in 13 games, and looked extremely efficient.
The rookie quarterback passed for 2,919 yards, 14 touchdowns and 12 interceptions while completing about 65 percent of his throws. It’s safe to say he had a more than impressive first year in the league and it won’t be long before he earns star status.
Fans began to love the soft-spoken quarterback and his thrilling style of play. He has the ability to throw with accuracy while also tucking the ball and running when the pocket collapses — he finished with over 200 yards rushing and a touchdown last season.
The future is very bright for Bridgewater and his fan base seems to grow by the day. In fact, one young fan was hoping to have a nice evening at her high school prom when Bridgewater rolled up unexpected and became her date for the night.
Bridgewater is four years removed from his high school days, but he seems pretty comfortable being a great guy off the field at a fan’s junior prom.
Louisville high school junior, Ashley Davis, told WLKY about her amazing experience.
"“This is like heaven, yeah. Well, I was standing on the front porch, and Teddy came around the corner and I started crying and we just got pictures. I was on cloud nine.”"
Teddy loved the moment and he got to make one high school student’s night — heck, he probably even made her year.
Pretty cool move by Teddy.
