The Preakness Stakes is arguably the most crucial race of the Triple Crown each year.
If the winner of the Kentucky Derby can pull off the win at the Preakness, then everyone is ready to tune into Belmont.
American Pharoah pulled away at the end of the Kentucky Derby thanks to great handling from his jockey Victor Espinoza, who will be atop the derby champion again Saturday.
The field is a lot smaller for the Preakness than the wide tracks of the derby and only eight horses will be on the track once the race begins.
Make no mistake about it, each of the jockeys and horses will be fighting for the victory at one of the most prestigious races of the season.

Pharoah is the favorite to win at 4/5 odds, but Dortmund and others are looking to overcome the odds and spoil yet another year of Triple Crown hopes.
