Juan Pablo Montoya rallied to past his teammate Will Power to win the Indianapolis 500.

Juan Pablo Montoya outlasted his Penske Racing teammate Will Power to win the Indianapolis 500, 15 years after winning his first one.

On a day with big wrecks ruling the track, it was an exciting finish as Montoya, Power and Scott Dixon traded the lead back and forth in a frantic pace in hopes of winning on the grandest stage of them all.

With just a few laps to go, Montoya made the move to pass Dixon and move up into second and then he made his last move to pass his teammate and go on to win the biggest race of the season.

While the wreck will be the narrative, the real story was going on up front with the fantastic driving by the three drivers and Simon Pagenaud, who spent a lot of the race in first as well.

The Indianapolis 500 separates the best drivers from the pack every year as those who have what it takes to win survive the treacherous wrecks and high speeds.

This year it was Montoya with the crafty driving at the end, who ended up on top to win the Indianapolis 500. With the race in the books, here is the complete finishing order for the Indianapolis 500.
