As a former NFL running back and a current living legend, Barry Sanders has likely autographed everything such as an old Pontiac Silverdome urinal that’s now for sale on eBay.

Barry Sanders is one of the best running backs of all time and a player who Detroit Lions fans revere and will always love until the very end despite his early retirement.

Although he hasn’t played a down since 1999, the former NFL running back has been doing charity work and staying generally out of the spotlight for the better part of the last 15-plus years. Sanders is always giving back to the community, even if that means signing urinals that get sold on eBay.

The Lions were sad to let the superstar running back walk away from the game he loved, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t still using his star power for good reasons like making a random fan even richer after buying a used Pontiac Silverdome urinal.

In case you aren’t familiar, the Silverdome was home to the Lions for 31 years from 1975-2006 where Sanders played his entire professional career.

The Silverdome had an auction in early 2014 where the urinals were auctioned off and some unlucky fans got to lug home a bathroom-related gift that hundreds of people relieved themselves in for about $20.

One fan got Barry Sanders to autograph the men’s room subject at a recent signing although Sanders was a bit weary of putting his name on the porcelain masterpiece.

According to Deadspinthe buyer of the urinal who is selling his potty for $610 on eBay chronicled the interaction between he and the legendary back:

"9-20-14: Barry Sanders held a public signing event with Detroit City Sports at Lakeside Mall in Sterling Heights MI. Already having Barry’s autograph on a jersey, football, and hat, I did the logical thing and decided to attach the urinal to a dolly and see if he would sign it. I was quite nervous wheeling in the urinal (which I had bleached and power washed multiple times) to ask my childhood idle to sign it.After a long wait, I reached the table with Barry and I uncovered the urinal telling him it was from his old locker room. He responded “Are you for real?”. I said “Yes, will you sign it?”. Barry said “I refuse” and after a short pause he laughed and said “no problem, where should I sign”. While signing and taking pictures, a man with Barry (I assume his agent) laughed and said “Hey Barry, last time you saw that thing you were taking a p*** in it”. Barry was extremely nice about it and it was a great experience."

Looks like that one signature is going to get this man about a $600 return on his investment. Good stuff.
